Hello, welcome!
I’m Bernd. I’m a born east german. Certainly a bit idiosyncratic, sometimes with my head against the wall, often a bit lazy. But I like to be outside.
Even as a child I preferred the forest to my home, as a teenager I didn’t care if it got dark – I feel comfortable in the dark.
With my parents I have been to Poland several times. With an older brother at 14 in Prague and the surrounding area. That was the great adventure.
And that still entices me today. A foreign language, cultural peculiarities, fascinating landscapes, lively villages and cities…
Since my home country Saxony, to which I felt very attached, is becoming more and more unfamiliar and soulless due to too much money, greed, senseless standards and norm regulations, I am more and more drawn to faraway places.
There, where people still live with respect and humility in a plentiful nature.
Maybe I will find a new home somewhere where I can feel comfortable and welcome ….
For me, travelling is part of life. I haven’t been blogging that long. I was an eternal analogue photographer, and hardly anyone looks at a blog without photos. But I did like telling stories. Some of them can be found under travel stories without photos.
Apart from that, I share here what I always shared with companions, people I met and curious people – experiences, adventures, tips and hopefully a little love, warmth and respect for each other.
If you would like to talk to me more, please make use of the comments or contact me personally via email.
